Utah-based Best Friends Animal Society is undertaking a significant project to build their exlusive list of recommended trainers. Those included on this list must be approved by Best Friends as positive reinforcement trainers who do not use aversive or punishment-based techniques. Listed trainers are then promoted to the many owners who contact Best Friends every day looking for help with their pets. Usually, these pets are seeking advice regarding behavior modification as a last resort before surrendering their dog back to a local shelter, so this list is another important tool for promoting positive training, especially with tougher behavior cases.

Through a partnership between Best Friends and VSPDT, we have arranged for all VSPDT members to automatically be considered pre-approved for inclusion on this list. This provides a valuable opportunity to use your VSPDT membership both to generate more business while also promoting +R on a national level.

To be automatically included in Best Friends’ Recommended Trainer List, simply download, complete and return this form to Best Friends via email at [email protected]. International members are also encouraged to reply. Please note: If you do not complete the short form and send it back to Best Friends, you will not be included on the list.
